James Jordan Johnson is an artist from London who works in performance, film and photography. He is interested in the spiritual state of witnessing and how it can allow for reconsidering truth as a means of relativity when the everyday is observed and recalled. Grounding his work in Caribbean forms of material and ecological belief systems, he believes pre-existing or self-established forms of opacity inform our understanding of cultural articulations within cultural making. His work as been shown at Mosaic Rooms, Tate Britain, 180 the Strand, London Performance Studios, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, ICA London, Humber Street Gallery and Arts Admin.
